Fire Prevention And Education

We are participating members of the Santa Clara County Fire Marshals Association and the Santa Clara County Fire Safe Council. The District’s fire prevention program is staffed by one part-time contract employee.

The PulsePoint mobile app alerts CPR-trained bystanders to someone nearby having a sudden cardiac arrest that may require CPR. As of July 1, 2011, the Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act (Senate Bill – SB 183) will require all single-family homes with an attached garage or a fossil fuel source to install carbon monoxide alarms within the home by July 1, 2011.
